i'm addicted to polaroids.

so here is the finished polaroid project. [sorry the lighting is a bit dodgy.]

for those of you who haven't seen this elsewhere,
here's a video i did to one of Kinith's tracks.
this was my first stab at final cut.

when i was eight years old my folks bought me my first camera. it was a Polaroid One Step Flash Instant Camera, and i fell in love with it immediately. on february 8, 2008, Polaroid Corporation announced they would no longer be making Polaroid film. because Polaroids were my first exposure to photography [and most likely the cause of my photo addiction], the news left me crestfallen.
for my final photo project this semester i decided to do a series of eighty-one polaroids that are all yellow, black, and white which make up a larger composition in the shape of a polaroid. i'll post an image of the final piece once i pick it up, but for now here are a few of the polaroids used:

"time takes a cigarette, puts it in your mouth."

my video is complete.
i am relieved.
i am awake.
i feel i have lost the ability to write anything worthwhile.
cinco de mayo margaritas and shots at the rhino and i wind up back home feeling like typing--
but with nothing to say.
there was a boy sitting at the end of he bar by himself the entire night. it was his birthday and he was alone. it broke my heart a little.
